Alvin L. King

Alvin “Lloyd” King, 76, of Gordonville, PA passed away on Wednesday, October, 28, 2020 at the Hospice and community care Center in Mount Joy, PA. Lloyd was born in Honeybrook, PA and he was the son of the late Naaman and Barbara King. He was a member of Summit View Brethren in Christ Church in New Holland. In his younger years, he enjoyed boating, water skiing, and hang gliding. Later in life, he enjoyed riding his Harley and visiting his daughter and family in Florida. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Nelson, wife of Ron Nelson and a grandson, Kevin Nelson of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He is also survived by his sisters, Cora Jean (Jonathan) Riehl and Barb (Mel) Stoltzfus and was preceded in death by his sister Liz Stoltzfus. As per his wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lloyd’s memory to Summit View Brethren in Christ Church 846 Peters Road New Holland, PA 17557

  • Dear Nelson Family,
    I am so very sorry to hear of Lloyds passing.
    I was employed with Lloyd at the Mateer Burt Company and I am very glad that I got to know him throughout the years.
    He called me a couple of weeks ago from Hospice and we talked for a while.
    He will be sorely missed.
