Andrew S. Gillinson

Andrew S. Gillinson, 65 of Lancaster, PA passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in his home in Lancaster, PA.

Born Thursday, August 5, 1948 in Stoke on Trent, United Kingdom, he was the son of the late Roy Gillinson and Joan Keatman Gillinson.

He was a graduate of Brandeis University.

Surviving are brothers, David Gillinson and Alexander Gillinson, a sister, Heather Campbell; partner Sharon Fenster of Peekskill, NY; niece Adrianne Schwab and nephew Oliver Gillinson.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date to be announced.

  • Another of Andy’s many friends, from the Baltimore Skydivers Club days, saddened to learn of his passing. Always the gentleman with the bright intellect, Andy will surely be missed by all whose lives he touched and influenced. My sincerest condolences to his entire family.   • I never met Andrew but we have been friends online for many years. He was a great person – extremely intelligent, passionate about politics and injustice with a good sense of humor, an excellent writer and a supportive friend. What a terrible loss – my heart goes out to his friends and family.

  • So sorry for your loss, just a few months ago we met on facebook, and we were enjoying each others posts…. who knows, I may have jumped with him in the last 43 years…. but maybe some day we will meet in “Blue Skies Andrew”
