Anita M. Lichtenwalner

Anita Marie (Ziatyk) Lichtenwalner, of Akron, passed away on May 2, 2015 at the age of 55. She was born in Allentown, PA to John and Nettie Ziatyk. She was the devoted wife of Wayne Lichtenwalner and the loving mother of Brandon Lichtenwalner, Nathan Lichtenwalner, and Megan Getz. Her grandchildren Lucas, Kinley, Etta, and Eviana were her greatest joys in her final days.

Anita was an incredible woman whose kindness and love touched so many. There are no words to describe the loss we all feel or to honor the love we have for her. In this time of grief let us remember her best attributes. Of all things, Anita had a wonderful sense of humor. Her smile and laugh could fill the room. She welcomed everyone into her home and treated them like family.
In lieu of flower arrangements Anita requested that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Dear Wayne, Brandon, Jeanette,Nate, Christina, Megan, and Rob: I was so thankful when we moved here that Jason had all of you to make our move easier. It wasn’t too long before all I heard was “I’m going to Nate’s”. I’d say to Jason I’m sure his Mom doesn’t want you there so much and Jason would say “yes she does” ” she likes me”. That was mostly how I knew your wife and your Mom. As a devoted Mom who welcomed new strangers into her home and made them feel like part of your family. I am so grateful that Jason continued growing up knowing her so well. I appreciated her sense of humor and her kindness to rick and me as well, inviting us to your home for different family events. I am so deeply sorry for your loss and grieve for you. I remember clearly during Moody and Christine’s wedding we went back to Jason’s house between wedding and reception and we talked about our kids and future grandchildren. She couldn’t wait for those beautiful babies to fill the house. She, to no surprise to you, was a caring, loving, selfless, family oriented person, but she reached out to so many others with those beautiful qualities as well. My deepest condolences to all.
