Beverley R. Charles

Beverley R. Charles, 72, of Leola went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 5th, 2018. She was the loving wife of James R. Charles Sr.

She was born in Ballston Spa, NY to Doris Wade and the late Earl Manning.

Beverley graduated from Ballston Spa High School and The Bible Institute of New England in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.

She served her Lord as a Bible School and Sunday School teacher. Beverley also served as a leader for Children’s Church and Pioneer Girls. She was a member of Calvary Church of Lancaster.

Beverley was a wonderful homemaker, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was co-owner of the family business, Robert L. Myers Inc, where she served as executive secretary for over 40 years. She also held positions of office secretary, controller, and service writer. 

She enjoyed her doll collection, decorating her home, and traveling. She loved to buy gifts for people, especially for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, her sons, James Charles Jr. of Lancaster, Jonathan Charles husband of Christine of Lititz, and Joel Charles of Millsboro, DE, and her daughter, Jennifer Charles of Leola. Beverley adored her five grandchildren; Kellie, Ryan, Kyle, Khloe, and Kamden. She is also survived by her mother, her brothers, Earl Manning Jr., Jack Manning and Randy Manning, and her sisters Cathy Duffney and Rita Bull. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of Life service in the chapel of Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd. Lancaster PA on Saturday October 6 at 3:00 PM with Rev Charles A. Arnold officiating. Friends may greet the family from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
