Carl Lee Stamm II, 49, originally from Turbotville PA, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2020 after a brief battle with Cancer.
He was a graduate of Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA. He worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant at multiple nursing home facilities in Lancaster, PA.
He served for 16 years at Camp Karoondinha – Susquehanna Council BSA (outside Lewisburg, PA) in many positions ranging from an Assistant Ecology Director to Camp Commissioner/Ranger.
He is survived by four sisters living in Pennsylvania, Oregon, and currently China (as an educator) and many nieces and nephews around the country.
He is well known to his family and within his group of Scouting Brothers Group as “Butch” and he is also well known for being part of tall tales that are amazingly true.

The world is a little darker without “Butch” in it. A one of a kind guy who marched to his own drumbeat. Damn, I’m gonna miss you brother.

Though we were years apart, in age, I was blessed to become friends with my brother, “Butch” as an adult. Gary and I will always have happy memories of our meandering 3 to 4 hour conversations at Shady Maple. I will miss you, Butch.

I am so sorry to hear this devastating news. We haven’t seen each other in decades, I’m afraid, but I remember fondly all of our cousins running around the farm, playing hide-and-seek, and eating Concord grapes fresh off the hedgerow. I also have a baby photo of both of us, just four months apart. Life can change in an instant. It’s clear your kindness and sense of humor have meant so much to so many, Butch. Thinking of your friends and sisters.

I’m very sorry to hear about Butch. I forgot that Butch , Deedee and Lisa are the “ younger “ ones. I pray that all 4 of you can talk together and share all the wonderful memories you each had with Butch.

Grateful for the opportunity to have known Carl. His sense of humor made my days better and he worked harder than anyone else I know. He effortlessly went above and beyond for anyone around him. He took care of his patients as if they were his own family. He will truly be missed by many.

Hey Brother!
Just found this news out and the story on you. I am so sad to see this. Remember many times in Warrior Run we had a laugh or two, and in Williamsport Area Community College on the Radio our antics were legendary. You will be greatly missed. Wish we could have caught up to each other over the years. Fly high Brother!

I lived on the same floor as Carl in college. He was always such a sweet guy – a gentle giant & a memorable Santa Claus. The world is a little more dim without him in it. Condolences to his family.
