Debra L. (Snyder) Bisset

Debra L. Bisset, 61, of Bainbridge passed through Heaven’s gates and into the hands of God on June 8,2017. With her family by her side, she fought courageously to the end.

Born in Harrisburg, November 27,1955, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pauline Snyder. After her mother’s graduation from nursing school, they move to Elizabethtown. Deb graduated from Elizabethtown High School, Class of ’73. Then in her mother’s footsteps started working in the nursing profession. First working at the old St. Joe’s Hospital in Lancaster, then Masonic Homes, now Masonic village. There she got her certification in nursing assistance.

In her free time, she was active in the Loyal Order of Moose #596, Ladies Auxilliary VFW #5667 and was also a member of Auxilliary of American Legion Post #197. Even with this all going on, she found time to play bingo. Whether it was for Longaberger Baskets or Meat tray bingo or just money bingo, she just really enjoyed it. She also enjoyed collecting anything with bears associated with it, really anything!

Most of all, the thing she enjoyed most was being with family. No matter holidays, birthdays, whatever it would be, as long as it was with her family.

She is survived by her husband James (Buzz), two sons, Franklin J., Kent (Brinser) husband to Jen. Three grandchildren, Kadyn, Austin and our little angel Sarah. Also, one sister Vicki ( Mike) Moist and one brother, Keith Snyder. She also has 2 nieces and 3 nephews.

An informal memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Bainbridge Fire Hall from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pastoral Care, Employee Fund, c/o Rev. Gary S. George, in Deb’s name.
