Elisabeth C. Bolster

Elisabeth C. Bolster, 94, passed away peacefully in Lancaster, PA on Saturday, July 30, 2022.  She was born in Munich, Germany in 1928 and moved to the United States in 1948, becoming a U.S. citizen soon thereafter.  She was predeceased by her parents Hans and Charlotte Meyer, and by her husbands Larry L. Wolff and Richard H. Bolster, and by her son-in-law John F. Buzilow.  She is survived by her children Carol E. Buzilow of Sarasota, FL, and Jackie W. After graduating high school, she worked as a translator and met her first husband.  They moved first to New York, then adventured to Utah and started their family.  They then settled in Pennsylvania where their second daughter was born.  She worked as a library assistant and as a medical office manager.  After retirement, she and her husband moved to Carlisle, PA, to Manteo, NC, and then to the Lancaster area.

Elisabeth had a gift for making people feel welcomed.  She was a fantastic chef and hostess.  Her dinner parties were legendary.  The recipe for her amazing cream puffs was a closely-guarded secret.  She was a dog lover.  Stray dogs always found a warm heart and a full bowl at her house.  She also loved to travel the world.  She had so many friends.  She was the life of the party and will be missed by all who knew her.
