Greg A. “Grubby” Mellinger

Greg A. “Grubby” Mellinger 56, of Ephrata Passed away Tuesday October 18, 2016 at home. He is survived by his loving daughter Kayla Mellinger
He was the son of the late Rose and Leon Hertzog.  Predeceased in death by his loving spouse Cathy Brossman.  Employed at Skyline Homes for 30+ years.
Grub was the recipient of the Carnegie Hero Medal.
Grubby enjoyed Nascar, Bingo and getting away to his camp in Huntingdon County with friends to drink old mud. Grub had an excellent green thumb, he was one of the best story tellers and enjoyed being the best pizza farmer. He was “not normal” but loved greatly by all and would’ve done anything for anyone. He is deeply missed and will live forever in our hearts.
In addition to his daughter, he is survived by Sisters Vicky Gehman, Cindy Lorah and Brother Stan Mellinger husband of Denise. Two nieces, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends
Life Celebration on November 5th,2016 at Garden Spot Motorcycle Club from 4 to 9 in Lieu of Flowers please make contributions to Garden Spot Motorcycle Club, 1840 N. Reading Rd., Reamstown, PA 17567.
