J Lamar Denlinger

J. Lamar Denlinger 66 of Lititz passed away Monday July 31, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy after a lengthy illness.  Born in Mount Joy, he was the son of the late Raymond & Dorothy Denlinger.  He was the loving husband of Joan (Girvin) Denlinger of 44 years..
Lamar was employed as a landscaper before his illness.  He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Lancaster.  He enjoyed cooking and flower gardening.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a brother Robert, husband of Bonnie (Brinser) Denlinger of Mount Joy and a sister Barbara, wife of Karl Miller of Lancaster.
Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend Lamar’s memorial service on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM from the Brethren Village Chapel 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17606 with the Rev. Dana Statler officiating.  A visitation time will be from 9:30 AM until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lamar’s memory may be sent to Hospice & Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg  Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552.

Will miss his joking and laughter. Also the times we got together and went out to eat. My prayers are with Joan and the family during your time of mourning.

Dear Joan,

Please accept our deepest condolences and sincerest sympathies on the loss of Lamar. We will always remember him puttering around Hershey Heritage Village on his golf cart while tending to his garden and individual designs for various residences here in the development. He would be shocked at what has become of the grounds now under Kensington Club/Soloman Brothers.
