James “Jim” Waltman

James “Jim” Waltman, 78, passed away peacefully with his wife, stepdaughter and “brother” Bill by his side on September 13, 2022. Jim was born in Paradise, PA to Charles and Kathryn Waltman. He graduated from JP McCaskey High School in 1962. He was married to Priscilla for36 years. He served as a Lancaster City policeman and was a driver for FlexSteel Furniture.  Jim enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching Penn State, the Eagles and the Philles, going to the gym and vacationing at Rehoboth Beach, DE. He was known as “Pappy” and adored his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons Jim (Krystal) and John(Michelle) both of Lititz and three stepchildren Amy (Matt) Bennett of Lancaster, Chris (Dana) Howard of Philadelphia, and Leslie Davenport of Raleigh, NC, 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Sincere condolences to all who were touched by James Waltman. I pray for all of the Waltman family and have the blessing of knowing John and his wife Michelle personally. Peace and serenity to all who are directly affected. Gods grace to you all.

Dear Priscilla,
My sincere condolences on the loss of Jim. He was such a kind, caring soul with a quick wit and great sense of humor. I so enjoyed seeing him daily at the gym and exchanging stories. He was so loyal to you, Priscilla, as well as his family. I will really miss him. I’m sending warm thought and hugs your way. Rest in peace Jim.
