Jean Evelyn Camp

Jean Evelyn Camp, “Jeannie”, 69, of Marietta PA, peacefully entered into rest at home surrounded by family,
July 27, 2018.

Jean was born February 21, 1949 in Congo, Africa. She was the daughter of missionaries Earl and Ida
Camp. She married Juan Quiles Jr., and had two sons, Juan and Joel Quiles. She spent her entire life
working as an RN helping people.

Jean was a beloved mother, and grandmother. She was caring, generous, giving, kind, and gentle. She
had a big heart, and would give the shirt off her back for a stranger. That was the way she chose to live
her life. Material pursuits were never important to her; she would rather store her treasures in heaven.
Her faith in God was lifelong, and unwavering. She loved spending time with her children, and
grandchildren. Cats were her constant companions, of which she had many over the span of her life.
They brought great joy to her. Jean left us with this message: “According to my earnest expectation and
my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ
shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ and to die is
gain”. Phillippians 1:20-21.

Jean is survived by her sisters Joanne Wentzell, Judy Armacost, and Janice Bortner; son Juan Quiles III
and his wife Brandy; her son Joel Quiles and his wife Paula. She is also survived by her grandchildren,
Jorin, Donovan, Luna, Owen, and Isabella. She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Ida Camp,
and her brother Jim Camp.

A funeral service to honor Jean’s life will be held 2 PM August 19 at Marietta Community Chapel. 1125
River Rd, Marietta, PA 17547.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jean’s name can be made to Feedthechildren.org.
