John D Friedel Jr

John “David” Friedel Jr, 67 of Lancaster passed away peacefully Tuesday morning. He is survived by his wife Kimberly Friedel, 4 children, Amanda Gibbs of Lancaster, Ashley Miller (Jason) of Wrightsville, Corinne Friedel of Wrightsville, Jonathan Friedel of Lancaster, and 2 siblings, Patrice (Dave) Gibson of Holtwood , Randy (Valerie)  Friedel Mirmar Beach, FL. He had 6 grandchildren, Logan, Alexis, Julia, Landon, Evan, and Jaxon.

David worked decades at Kimmich’s Painting in Lancaster, PA. He had a passion for cooking, birds, art, reading, pinochle, music, crabbing, and the Indianapolis Colts and he loved spending time with his dog Pete. You could often find him tinkering around in his shed building bird houses or refinishing old pieces.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Ruth Friedel, Father John Friedel Sr, and Sister Penny Friedel.

  • Hi Kim, We are so sorry to hear about David. We know he was a good man. It’s been a while since we saw him, but we knew he was really sick. The girls would let us know how he was doing.
