  • Big Larry has been a part of my life since I was born. Our family had great times at his cabin, terrifying times driving in his Bronco up the shale piles and good food on his grill. Larry was a big support to us at my brother’s funeral in 2002, he made sure he was beside my Pappy, looking after him both physically and emotionally, even though I’m sure it was hard on him too. In recent years he would come visit me before going to the car show at Sonic in Morgantown (near our farm). We will miss him.

  • Larry you will be greatly missed by the staff and members at the gym, we loved hearing about your adventures, the places you went, the ladies you danced with, and when you would drive one of your classic cars to the gym…it was always a pleasure to have the opportunity to see you and the cars and sit in them. We will all miss you very much.

  • Sorry you left us good old friend. We will always miss you and be thinking of you.
Lydia and Steve (Lepore) and the girls.

  • My two sons and I will miss Big Larry! He was a big part of our lives for many years and we will always remember the good times we shared!

  • Larry you will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for your sharing your love of God’s creation with me through pictures you took, the Pine Cone from California you gave me…and sharing one of your favorite pictures with me…you looking at the sun rise at the ocean. I know you touched many lives and are truly missed. May your memory be eternal!

  • Sincere sympathy. Can’t believe we won’t see Larry again at our breakfasts and events. Many memories of our younger years…and we always knew we would get to dance if Larry was there. Sorry I never got back to the Legion for that one last dance. We will miss you!

  • The class of 1965 from J P McCaskey wishes to express our sincere condolences to the Eckman family.
Rest In Peace Larry, we will never forget you
