Michael Wendell Phillips

Michael W. “Pappy” Phillips, 79, loving husband and father went to be with his savior on September 22, 2020. He was born in Quakake, PA on December 4, 1940 to the late Evan and Helen (Michael) Phillips. He was happily married to Darlene (Zeigler) Phillips for 61 years with whom he had two children, Deborah Shirk and Michael Phillips. A hard-working man, Mike served as General Foreman at High Streel Structures, where he retired after 36 years of service and continued to work for Primitives by Kathy for another 6 years. He was passionate about family, hunting, and golfing. A man of faith, he was a member of the Wrightsville AG and previously served as a deacon.

He is survived by his wife, 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother: Darlene Evans, Helen Cunningham, and Evan Phillips. No services will be held per the request of the deceased. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wrightsville AG, 365 Orange Street, Wrightsville, PA 17368. So sorry for your loss!
Mike was a long time friend and hunting companion. So many many memories! He was like a big brother to me! Please may your family always be well.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Mike was such a wonderful and caring man, who loved God and his family. It is an honor to have known him and to call him friend.

I was very sorry to hear of Mikes passing. He was a very good person,he was always sincere about where he was in life when it came to his religion,family and his job.

Thanks for your condolence Mike was starting with dementia brought on by our accident years ago. He fell down the steps to his man cave. He suffered three brain bleeds and it caused his dementia to speed up. We had to put him in a nursing home where he had a stroke..God was merciful and took him home after about two weeks. I’m devastated. It’s hard to go on but i must for the children.

I am so sorry for your loss as it was a great one. Some families leave such beautiful memories of time shared and your entire family was a tremendous blessing to us. Mike was indeed a Man of God in character, service and love for his family and us …a blessing to all that knew him. Stay strong and be assured you’ll meet again. We love you.
