Alyssa V Plumberg

Alyssa Noel Valentino Plumberg passed away on February 10, 2026, at her home in Lancaster, Pa. Born on June 29, 1994, in Monongahela, Pa. She grew up in Elizabeth, Pa., where she was a 2012 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. She spent her summers working at Camp Christian caring for the campgrounds and it is where she held her wedding. She then attended Slippery Rock University to study theatre design and technology where she met her husband. After moving to Lancaster, she enjoyed seven years of working various positions at PetSmart, including dog trainer and animal care manager. In 2022, she gave birth to her daughter, Zooey Indigo. Sixteen weeks later, Alyssa began a three-year journey battling lung cancer. Her strength in this battle is a testament to her strength as a person. She was a creative soul and enjoyed cross-stitching, sewing, embroidery, coloring, and drawing. While she was an introverted person, those who knew her knew that she was a strong, loving, person with a fun personality. She enjoyed animals and loved her cats. Alyssa grew up loving her Lord and Savior and was a strong witness to her faith.

Alyssa is survived by her husband, Anthony; daughter, Zooey; parents, Scott and Dawn (Scagline) Valentino, brother, Vincent; and many extended family members including twelve nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at Mission Church at 651 Lampeter Road, Lancaster, Pa. 17602 on February 28, 2026 at 3:00 pm. Alyssa has specifically requested that no wind chimes be gifted as memorials as she has never liked the tradition. Her favorite flowers were daisies. Any monetary gifts or donations can be given to Camp Christian of Mill Run, Pa.
