Barry Lee Christ

Barry L. Christ, 74, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at home. He was born in Lancaster to the late Fred and Gladys Christ.

After graduating from Warwick High School, Barry proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his life, his love for God, his family, and his country remained at the heart of who he was. He spent many years leading worship and teaching Sunday School and had a lifelong passion for tennis and soccer, where he found great joy in coaching youth sports. When he wasn’t coaching, he could often be found on the sidelines, proudly cheering on his children and supporting them in all of their extracurricular activities. His faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life and guided the way he loved, served, and invested in others.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda (Forney); three sons, Jonathan and his wife Christina (Koerte), of Charlotte, NC; Jeremy, of West Chester, PA; Joshua, of Richmond, VA; and a daughter, Lauren Reilly and her husband Kyle, of Lititz; six grandchildren; his sister Deb Andrulis and her husband, Jared; and his brother, Scott Christ.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ephrata Community Church, 70 Clay School Road, Ephrata, on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Family visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m., with the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held privately.
