Bryan Ellmaker

December 8, 1971 — April 27, 2025

Bryan Scott Ellmaker, 53, of Mountville, Pennsylvania, passed away with his loving wife and daughter by his side on April 27, 2025, at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.

Born on December 8, 1971, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Bryan grew up in East Petersburg surrounded by family and a passion for the things he loved most. His life was enriched by deep connections with those around him and a lasting enthusiasm for music, movies, and cars.

Bryan shared 30 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Tara. Together they raised their daughter Olivia, who brought immense joy to his life. He was the cherished son of Ken and Carol Ellmaker and the dear brother of Dawn Keck. Bryan also held close bonds with his extended family, including his father-in-law, Larry Metz; brother-in-law Jevin Metz; sister-in-law Laura Wireback and her husband Chas Wireback; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Kathi Metz; maternal grandparents Nancy and George Baker; and paternal grandparents Fred Sr. and Anna Mary Ellmaker.

Bryan’s love for music was a defining part of his life. A lifelong fan of KISS, he attended his first concert as a young boy—a memory that sparked a lifelong passion for collecting KISS memorabilia. His enthusiasm for music was matched by his love for movies, particularly vampire and horror films that captured his imagination.

An avid Dallas Cowboys fan since childhood, Bryan proudly supported his team through every season. His playful spirit shone through in his fondness for SpongeBob SquarePants, a character that brought him countless laughs over the years.

Bryan also had a special connection to cars. He took great pride in working on and maintaining his vehicles and had a particular affection for muscle cars—a hobby that reflected both his meticulous nature and adventurous spirit.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Columbia VFW Post 2435, located at 401 Manor St, Columbia, PA 17512. Food will be served as friends and family gather to remember and celebrate Bryan’s life.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
