Carl A Brian

Carl A. Brian, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old. Born on March 19, 1947, in Witmer, Carl was the son of the late Anna (Markert) Brian and Charlie Markert.

A proud graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, Class of 1965, he went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force. He later built a long career as a machine operator at Kellogg’s, where he worked until his retirement.

Carl was a devoted family man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, loved watching cooking shows, and enjoyed spending time at Hollywood Casino. Known for his warm smile and steady presence, he cherished time with his family and created many lasting memories with those he loved.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife, Mattie, of 44 years; his parents, Anna and Charlie; his brother, Dennis; his three daughters, Kimberly, Mary Ann, and Dottie Mae; and his best friend, Charlie Roth. Carl is survived by his children: daughters, Connie Treadway and Julie (Tom) Murray; son Cory (Heather) Brian; sister Lisa (John) Neil, and many beloved grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Calvin G. High Pavilion in Greenfield Park at William Penn Way and Colonial Village Lane in Lancaster, PA. Family and friends are invited to gather at 3:00 pm with the service at 3:30 pm. Food and drink will be provided afterwards. Dress is casual and comfortable.
