Carolyn Marie Knight

Carolyn Groff Knight, 85 of Lancaster, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 31, 2026.  Born in Gap, on July 5, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Frank G and Hallie (Appel) Groff.  She was a graduate of Manheim Twp High School.

The oldest of three, sister, Jean Miller and brother, Russell (Linda) Groff.  She was loved and cherished by her daughters, Anita (Eric) Hill, Brenda Finley, and Diane Lesher. She had 6 grandchildren, Angel (Melissa) Marrero, Shawn Marrero, Nadine (Jason) Ramos, Nicole (Jennifer) Shimp, James (Megan) Killian, Kenny (Hannah) Lesher; 6 great grandchildren, Amelia, Jaiona, Jason, Jr, Jacob, Wyatt and Wesley.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church. Once she became a 'shut in' she enjoyed the fellowship with Pastor Bruce Sellers and his wife, Linda. He brother Russell baptized her as a reaffirmation of her deep faith in Christ. 

She worked at Turkey Hill for 25 years; she also was a waitress at Dempsey's and Manor Plaza. She loved going to auctions, yard sales, and thrift stores with her daughters. She also enjoyed dancing, bowling, and Caturday with her family. She was quite the storyteller and known for her wit and humor.  She was an animal lover, especially her cats.

She will be truly missed by her family, but forever in our hearts.

Celebration of Life will be at a later date for immediate family.
