Cheri Reynolds, formerly of Landisville, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on Monday, November 25th. Cheri entered into heaven, where she was welcomed by her beloved husband, James, and their son, Jimmy. She was born in Staten Island, NY and was the daughter of the late Albert and Clara Cunrod.
She grew up in the Hempfield area and was a graduate of Hempfield High School. Cheri was married to James Reynolds, and together they had two children, James and Melissa.
Cheri was preceded in death by her parents (Albert and Clara Cunrod), her husband (James Reynolds), and her son (James Reynolds). She leaves behind her loving daughter, Melissa, her son-in-law, Gordon Leaman, her daughter-in-law, Cynthia, and her three cherished grandchildren, Haley, Aiden, and Kyleah. Cheri shared a special bond with her daughter Melissa and granddaughter Kyleah, who were her strong advocates and caregivers. She lovingly referred to them as “her girls” and truly lived to see them each day.
She had a career working as a receptionist for ADT Security, where she was known for her friendly personality and loyalty as a dedicated employee. Cheri was of Christian faith and attended LCBC regularly before the decline in her health.
Known for her beautiful blue eyes, Cheri had a fondness for dogs and cats. She loved spending time at the beach with her family where she enjoyed boating on the Delaware Bay. She was flamboyant in her style, loved her makeup, everything sparkly and enjoyed getting her hair done. She also liked reading mystery books, shopping, loom knitting and puzzle books. Above all, her time spent with "her girls" was her favorite.
Cheri’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and a spirit that brightened the lives of those around her. She had a strong will to live and fought fiercely. She leaves behind a family that will forever remember her gentle heart and the joy she brought into their lives. Her daughter and granddaughter will hold dear the memories of her always welcoming smile and multiple puckered goodbye kisses! She was the best!
Her daughter and granddaughter would like to thank the following people for their love and care of her: Kay Rupp, Linda Yellets and family, her aide Isaiah, and multiple other staff that loved and cared for her at LNR.
Cheri was private in nature and in keeping with her wishes, a private family service will be held.
She is now home with Jesus, flying high, blowing puckered kisses from heaven!
We will LOVE and miss her all the rest of our days until we meet again.
