Christen Chew, 72, of Lancaster, PA, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 2, 2026, after courageously living with cardiac illness for more than 26 years. Born on July 16, 1954, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Christen dedicated her life to serving others through her unwavering faith, compassion, and generosity. She honorably served in the United States Air Force before answering God's call to ministry as a prison chaplain, ordained minister, and pastor. A longtime employee of The Standard Group, devoted member of Grandview Church, and active board member of Connection Ubuntu, Christen touched countless lives through her kindness, servant's heart, and gift of song.
Christen shared nearly 30 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved wife, Deb Becker, and treasured the love of her family, church family, and the close circle of friends she affectionately called her "Framily." She will be remembered for her deep love of Christ, her joyful spirit, infectious smile, generous heart, and the unwavering encouragement she offered to everyone she met. While those who loved her grieve her passing, they find comfort and peace in the assurance that she is now in Heaven, free from pain, embraced by her Savior, and watching over those she loved until they meet again. Even in death, Christen continued to bless others through the gift of organ donation, leaving a lasting legacy of hope and life. In her memory, her family encourages others to consider becoming organ donors.
A Celebration of Christen's Life will be held in the coming weeks at Grandview Church, with service details to follow.
