Clifford “Cliff” Hollis Ruck Sr., 59, passed away unexpectedly in the hospital on Friday, July 11th in Lancaster, PA. He was born October 25, 1965 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania to parents Henrietta (Griffith) and Clifford A. Ruck Jr., both of whom preceded him in death.
Cliff was a Navy veteran, serving in Desert Storm. He was also a free mason, a bone marrow donor, and was very proud of his Irish heritage. His greatest joys were caring for and sharing the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Shannon (Ruck) Riley and her husband Tim of Irwin, PA, son Clifford “CJ” Ruck Jr. of Honey Brook, PA, grandchildren Amelia, Cadence, Emilie, Thora, and Dane, sister Annette (Ruck) Shaffer and her husband Rollo, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, close friends, and chosen family. Per Cliff’s wishes, he will be having Navy burial at sea.
The family will be holding a memorial at a later date. In lieu of donations to the family, they ask that contributions be made in Cliff’s name to one of the following organizations which were special to him: National Marrow Donor Program, Navy Safe Harbor Foundation, National Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association.
