Dale Winters

Dale Eugene Winters, 69 years old, of Lancaster, PA peacefully passed away after coping with a long illness on Sunday, November 24th, 2024. He was born in East Hempfield Township on July 15th, 1955. Dale was the son of the late Leon and Mary Jane Winters of Lancaster and a graduate of Hempfield High School, class of 1973. 

Dale was a kind and compassionate man. The self-proclaimed “bluzjunkie” had a love for music of all types, but a special place in his heart for the blues. He also loved playing billiards, card games, drinking craft beer and bourbon, collecting the newest technologies, painting and drawing, and taking long journeys with his friends on his Harley Davidson. He had been employed as a truck driver at Dart Container from 1974 until retiring in 2022. 

Surviving family members include: Jennifer Winters niece of Denver, CO; Nathan Winters nephew of Hanahan, SC; Ian Winters nephew of Ada, OH; and his five great-nieces. Family members who preceded Dale in death include: Leon Winters (father) of Lancaster, PA; Barry Winters (brother) of Lancaster, PA; and Mary Jane Winters (mother) of Lancaster, PA.
