Edwin C. Tritt

Edwin C. Tritt, Jr. “Cliff”, 80, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025 in the hospice unit at the Lebanon VA. Born in Roanoke Rapids, NC, he was the son of the late Edwin C. Tritt and Margaret Padgett Tritt.

Cliff was a Marine Corps veteran and served as a radio operator during the Vietnam War. An avid and skilled outdoorsman, Cliff could be found fishing the waters of the Susquehanna River, Chesapeake Bay, Pamlico River, and Outer Banks of North Carolina. He enjoyed hunting in the hills of the Pennsylvania Appalachians and the fields of eastern NC. Cliff’s family and friends looked forward to his egg nog at the holidays, and his homebrew throughout the year.

Cliff had a varied career having been employed over the years by Wheelabrator-Frye in Pittsburgh; GE (formerly Buell, Inc.) Lebanon; K-D Tools; Datcon, Inc; and Red Lion Controls, Manchester.

Surviving Cliff is his wife of 52 years, Barbara; son Kevin of Lancaster and daughter Katie, wife of Lance Edwards of Asheville, NC; his granddaughter, Charlotte Tritt, Lancaster; sister Dianne Hilliard wife of Sterling, Roanoke Rapids, NC; sister-in-law Beth Bulat wife of Wally, Lancaster; brother-in-law Bill Bates husband of Debbie, Pittsburgh; and seven nephews.

Final commendation will be at the convenience of the family.
