Herbert JW Reinhold

Herbert Reinhold passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025 at the age of 98 years old.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel (Trostle) Reinhold in 2007.

Born in Adamstown, he was the son of the late Walter and Ella (Woods) Reinhold.

During World War II and the Korean War, Herbert served in the Navy. He was a postal clerk and briefly the postmaster at the Adamstown Post Office, a factory worker and a bricklayer.

Herbert is survived by 1 son, Neal, husband of Sharon (Lenart) Reinhold, 2 daughters, Gina Hackman, fiancée of Craig Bixler, and Gale, wife of Lonnie Prosser. He is also survived by 1 sister, Jean “Mary” Broughall, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Herbert was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Stauffer, and a son-in-law, Douglas Hackman.

A service will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
