James Cowan

James D. Cowan, 73, husband of Zoe (Meleizen) Cowan, passed away on March 21, 2026. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John F. and Dorothy J. Cowan.

Jim was a 1970 graduate of Hempfield High School and 1974 graduate of Millersville University. He retired from Ollies Bargain Outlet in 2019

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, James (Marie Myers) Cowan, II and John M. Cowan. Also surviving are his three grandchildren, Emma Louisa, Ayslin Marie, and Graeme Jackson Cowan; his sister, Donna J. (Charles L.) Fisher, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at The Ascension Lutheran Church, 600 East Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, PA 17584, on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 3:00 PM, with visitation starting at 2:00 PM until time of service. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
