Jason David Brown (May 17, 1982 - April 20, 2026), muskie fisherman and professional welder, was a devoted son, life partner, uncle, nephew, friend and neighbor. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his many family and friends.
He is survived by his best friend and beloved father, David Earl Brown and stepmother, Sue; his mother Robin Ann Brown and her significant other, Brett. Jason is also survived by the love of his life, Alecia J. Hair; nieces Jaelynne and Kylee, and nephew Jayce; a handful of beloved aunts, uncles, friends and fishing buddies. He was preceded in death by his precious sister, Heather Shopf.
Jason left a profound impact on the lives he touched. He regularly checked up on his family and friends and expressed his care in remarkably thoughtful ways. He loved to lend a helpful hand, smoke some meat, share a feast he created and of course, steal away to his secret muskie fishing spots. If you were lucky enough to be loved by Jason, you would experience loyalty, compassion, and laughter (often at your expense, but in good fun).
Jason's legacy of loving fiercely will continue shining in our hearts.
An open celebration of his life will be held Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gallery at Susquehanna Stage, 133 W. Market Street, Marietta.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jason's name can be made to Susquehanna Stage.
