Jeffrey Lee Hardy (Jay), 65 years old, passed away on September 14, 2026 after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. He fought a long and determined fight. Throughout his illness Jeff showed incredible resilience and hope. Even during difficult moments, his spirit and optimism remained an inspiration to everyone. While cancer marked his final chapter it did not define the vibrant life he lived. He fought like he lived and played, hard, and went out like a true warrior.
Jeff was born in Woodbury, New Jersey and was raised in Glassboro, New Jersey. Jeff will always be remembered for his STRONG devotion to family and his dedication to faith.
Jeff was a die-hard Eagles fan. He passed his passion for the Eagles on to his children and grandchildren. His favorite times were times spent with his family and his beloved dog. He loved mentoring his children and grandchildren and one of his favorite sayings he would share with them was -” Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.” He enjoyed watching and collecting movies and had quite an extensive collection of them.
Jeff loved shooting the breeze with his friends, sharing stories and making them laugh. They nicknamed him “Bull” because of his size and his strength. He had a hearty loud laugh, wonderful sense of humor and an infectious smile.
Jeff loved going to the beach, particularly Vanderbilt Beach in Naples, Florida.
Jeff is survived by his children, whom he was very proud of; Jeffrey Lee Hardy (Kim), Brandy Lee Hardy, and Brandon Gramlich (Tara). He was the cherished Pop Pop of Amira Churchill, Jonathan Churchill, Gianna Hardy, Tye Churchill, Kayla Gramlich and Giovanni Hardy.
Jeff is the beloved brother of Steven Hardy (Jannette) and Ray Hardy.
Jeff leaves behind Sue with whom he is eternally devoted in love and most grateful. The greatest joy of his life was the years they spent together.
Jeff is predeceased by his parents Evelyn Roberta Hardy and Ray Thurmon Hardy and his brother, Ross Hardy.
