Jody Beyer

Jody Clyde Beyer, 58, passed away March 17, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer.

Born August 25,1967, Jody lived most of his life in Kirkwood, PA before moving to Willow Street, PA with his cherished fiancée, Shannon Oatman and her children Bryce and Hayden, whom he loved very much.

Jody was preceded in death by his loving parents John Earl Beyer and Irene E. Beyer (Ham). He is also preceded by his beloved brother, John N. Beyer, Sr.

Jody is survived by two sisters, Kathleen A. Reinhart of Oxford, and Lori L. Hammer (George) of Christiana and one brother, Timothy L. Beyer (Ruth) of West Grove. In addition to his siblings, he is survived by 10 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews who lovingly knew him as “Unc”.

Jody graduated from Solanco High School in 1985, where he enjoyed playing baseball and football. In his 20’s, he was on a bowling team with his grandfather, Nate Ham, who was a great mentor to Jody. Jody also loved fishing all through his 20’s and helped at the Octorara Fishing Headquarters. Jody worked at Jennersville Hospital in medical sanitation for many years. Then he went into the construction industry. At the time of his passing he was a heavy machine operator, at Maryland Environmental Services which was a career he loved very much. 

To know Jody, was to know his sense of humor and his desire to make everyone laugh around him. No one will be able to forget his laughter or his striking red hair, and a personality which was larger than his 6’4” stature. Jody will be truly missed by his family and his many friends that he cared about deeply.
