John V Scott

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John V. Scott.Born in West Chester on March 21, 1952, John was the cherished son of the late George and Eleanor Scott. Known lovingly by many as “Papa John,” he faced his battle with cancer with remarkable courage, strength, and grace.

John was the husband of Dawn, from whom he was estranged, a devoted brother to Betty and Cheryl, an uncle to eight nieces and nephews, and a proud grandfather and great‑grandfather to four each.

He found some of his greatest joy on the open road—riding his Harley, attending Bike Week, and sharing those moments with the people he cared about. John’s home was a place where friends were always welcome, where laughter came easily, and memories were made without effort.Among the many friendships he treasured, none meant more than the bond he shared with Billy and Mindi Lowrey. Their years of loyalty, laughter, and countless miles together created a connection that will remain unbroken in spirit.

John will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him, loved him, and shared in the journey of his life.Honoring his wishes, no services or gatherings will be held. 

He will be remembered privately by those who loved him.
