Julie Campbell

Julie Campbell, age 71, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025. Born in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Pearl (McConnell) Campbell, Jr.

Julie graduated from McCaskey High School and received her BA from Muhlenberg College and a MSW from Temple University. She took classes at Lancaster Bible College. She worked for the School District of Lancaster and IU 13 as a Social Worker. Julie spoke Spanish and worked with Spanish speaking students. Her true calling was being a missionary in Kenya, Africa for over 20 years. She was a social worker for St. Anthony's Christian School, working with orphan children from HIV/AIDS and their guardians. She also served as a missionary with Life for Children in Wachara and she was one of the founders of Hope Church there where she led services, Bible studies and evangelized. Julie loved singing, traveling, the beach, dogs and parakeets.

She is survived by a brother, Arthur Russell Campbell, III and two nephews Marc and Matthew Campbell. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Campbell.

A Life Celebration will be held November 23 at 2:00 PM at Hempfield Church, 3050 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601. Memorial donations, payable to Hempfield Church are being collected to donate Bibles in the native language of Wachara, Kenya.
