Linda S Buck

Linda Seiverling Buck, 70, of New Holland, went home to be with her Savior on June 8, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with ALS.

Born to Eugene and Miriam Seiverling on December 12, 1955, Linda lived a life marked by faith, love, sacrifice, and service. Above all else, she loved Jesus Christ and cherished her family. Those two passions shaped her life and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Robert (Bob) Buck, Jr. Married at the age of 19, Bob and Linda shared 51 years of marriage and spent remarkably few days apart. Their relationship was a testimony of faithfulness, friendship, and enduring love.

She is also survived by her children: Gary Buck (Maria), Chris Buck (Emily), and Marina Buck; as well as ten beloved grandchildren who brought her great joy. She was preceded in death by her brother Michael Seiverling, as well as her son, Jason Buck, whose life and care became one of the clearest expressions of her sacrificial love.

Linda was a faithful wife, dedicated homemaker, and vigilant friend. She had a unique gift for noticing those who felt overlooked or unloved, making them feel seen and valued. Many considered her not only a friend but also a mentor, spiritual mother, and trusted source of encouragement.

Together, Bob and Linda faithfully served for decades in youth and young adult ministries at both Hopewell Church in Elverson and Petra Church in New Holland. Through their ministry, they touched the lives of hundreds of young people, many of whom continue to carry the influence of their love and compassion.

Growing up in Knauertown, PA, Linda enjoyed her years as a baton twirler with the Owen J. Roberts High School marching band. She was an excellent athlete and artist, and remained a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan throughout her life.

Perhaps nothing demonstrated Linda's character more than her willingness to sacrifice for others. For decades, she devoted herself to caring for her son Jason, whose special needs required constant attention throughout his life. She poured herself out daily for her family and for others, serving quietly and faithfully without seeking recognition.

Though ALS gradually weakened Linda's body, it never diminished her faith. She faced her final months with courage, grace, and an unwavering trust in Jesus Christ. Even through her struggles, not once did she complain.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Petra Church in New Holland, Pennsylvania, on July 11 at 10:30 am, followed by a meal. All are welcome.
