Ray Sullivan, 77, of Quarryville, passed away on October 24, 2024. Born in 1947, he lived a life full of passion, dedication, and love for his family and country.
A proud Vietnam Veteran, Ray served his nation with honor. Upon returning home after his military service, he began working for Philadelphia Electric as a lineman in Philadelphia and then moved to Lancaster County where he started working in the nuclear power plant. Upon leaving PECO he worked for the Lancaster Housing Authority, was a real estate agent, and began his rental property business – acquiring properties in three different states.
Ray was very active in sports and enjoyed playing ping pong, volleyball, and pickleball. He had a special love for pickleball and always looked forward to good competition on any court, sharing a lot of laughter and camaraderie with friends.
Ray is survived by his loving wife Kim Sullivan, 43 years, his sister Linda (John) Manzi, brother Glenn “Ricky” Sullivan, his 4 children, Stacey Maillie, Carolyn (Cory) Carter, Ryan Sullivan, Kelly (Luke) Humphreys, nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved with all his heart.
Ray will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his vibrant spirit, dedication to family, and love for life.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
