Robert P Landis Sr.

Robert P. Landis, Sr., 86, of Lancaster, PA, died peacefully at home on April 20, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He was previous VP at Crisman Hardwood, salesman at Martin’s Floor Covering, salesman at Certified Carpet and Landis Enterprises. He was a member of the Milton Haldeman family, Masonic Lodge 43, Pequea Outboard Boat Club, Camp Suits Us hunting club, North Bend, PA, and Over 70 Softball League where he played until the age of 80 and was known as Nolan Ryan Strikeout King.

He had a passion for classic cars, especially his red Corvette and his dogs Chewy and Ginger. He was best known for saying “My way or the highway”.

Those who will miss him most include the love of his life and wife of 68 years, Susan P. Landis as well as their children Laura Clare (Alan), Manheim, PA, Robert P. Landis Jr. (Linda), Lititz, PA and Lisa Yost, Mountville, PA, five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Arthur and Roy Landis and his son-in-law Butch Yost.

A private send-off to the open road will be held by the family in his honor.
