Sally Boyer

Mar 13, 1948 — May 28, 2026

Sally Boyer, 78 of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 28, 2026.

Born and raised in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Paul and Ester (Shemberger) Witmer.

Sally was a determined, capable, and self-reliant woman who approached life on her own terms. She was especially devoted to advocating for her son, William Boyer of Lancaster, and worked tirelessly on his behalf throughout her life. Her persistence and commitment in that role were defining characteristics.

For many years, Sally shared her life with her longtime love and partner, Russ Ressler Sr. of Brownstown, who preceded her in death. They enjoyed traveling and RV adventuring the country together. In more recent years, she was the companion of Harry “Pinky” Geraci, whom she met as a young woman when they both worked at Hamilton Watch Co. They were friends for decades and later companions who enjoyed trips to his mountain cabin where she would patiently sit by the river as he fished.

She is survived by her companion, Harry “Pinky” Geraci, a brother, Jack E. Witmer of Lancaster; her sister, Susan K. Witmer of Louisville, Co and preceded in death by her eldest brother Gerald P. Witmer.

Sally raised three sons – Terry James Lehman of Akron, Kyle Anthony Lehman of Wrightsville and William Paul Boyer of Lancaster. She also had twin daughters, Jessica Benton of Bedford, PA and Kathryn “Kate” Lynch of Lancaster, both of whom were released for adoption at birth, reuniting as adults. Sally had five grandchildren.

At her request, no memorial service will take place.
