Sandra Stephens Winters

Sandra Stephens Winters, 82, of Willow Street, entered into God’s Kingdom on October 22, 2025. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Ralph G. Stephens and Elva S. Radcliffe. She was the wife of James A. Winters with whom she celebrated 21 years of marriage in May.

Sandy graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1961. She worked various secretarial and office jobs throughout her lifetime and retired from Healthguard in 2005.

An avid bargain hunter, Sandy will be remembered for her love of thrift stores, yard sales and roadside treasure hunting. Her gift of gardening was displayed in the beautiful oasis she created during her years on Quaker Hills Road. Her quick wit, giving spirit and genuine kind heart will be missed by many.

In addition to her husband, Sandy is survived by her daughter, Jessica, wife of Chris Maule and her granddaughter, Catherine Rittenhouse, with whom she lived; and great granddaughter, Skye Hevener, of Reading. She is also survived by step-children, Jeanette Hower of Millersville, Deborah, wife of Mike Houser, Wrightsville, Susan, wife of Clinton Amspacher, East Petersburg, David Winters of Manheim, Mary Winters of Columbia, Carol King of Columbia and Gregory Winters, husband of Mandy Lou, Manheim; 23 step grandchildren and 50 step great grandchildren; her brother, Dr. John Stephens, husband of Marlene, Burlington VT;as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Amanda L. Patton, granddaughter, Chandler Rose, and stepchildren, James A. Winters Jr. and Faye Y. Conant.

Sandy was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Lititz Pa. She has been in the care of the homebound ministry of Grace Community Church Willow Street for the past several years and Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy for the past six months. .

A memorial service honoring Sandy will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Faith United Methodist Church, 1290 Fruitville Pike, Lititz PA. The family will receive guests at 1:00 pm until the time of service. A dessert social and time of fellowship will immediately follow the service.
