William Staman

William T Staman of Elizabethtown, PA passed away on August 25, 2025 at Masonic Village. Bill shared 54 years of marriage with his wife Jane.

Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late James W Staman Jr and Helen Staman.

After graduating from Columbia HS, Bill enlisted in the Navy in January 1963. He completed basic training at Great Lakes Naval Training Center, graduating as an electronics technician. His tours of duty included Iceland, USS Guadalcanal and Naval Academy information Officer.

Bill attended Millersville University and Penn State Harrisburg earning degrees in Earth and Space Science and Master of Education. He taught at Lower Dauphin HS and Cedar Crest HS. He enjoyed teaching and interacting with the students. Bill was a member of Abraham C Treichler Lodge 682 for 42yrs. As a certified arborist, Bill owned Timber Wolf Tree services for 20 yrs.

In addition to his wife, Bill’s family includes his daughter Emily, wife of Anthony Marino, son James Staman, and three grandchildren. Preceding him in death were 2 brothers, James W Staman III and Stephen Staman.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bill’s memory to Masonic Village, Attn: Tree of Life Fund, 1 Masonic Village Dr, Elizabethtown PA 17022.
