William T Wert

William Thomas Wert, age 70, of East Berlin, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Born December 9th, 1954, to the late Robert and Thesta Wert. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wert. He graduated from Carlisle High School in 1972. He spent his life in the construction industry, in which he always took great pride in his work.

He loved his family immensely. He is survived by the love of his life for the last 50 years, Evonne Kepner Wert. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Kyle Wert, wife Aimee, and Hayley Weinberg, husband Jason. He absolutely adored his six beautiful grandchildren; Jeramiah, Caleb, Gavin, Lily Ayn, Samantha, and Iris. He is also survived by brothers Scott Wert, wife Tammy, and Joel Wert, wife Margaret, as well as sister-in-law Cathy Wert, and several nieces and nephews. Being husband, father, and PopPop meant the world to him. He loved to fish, shoot pool, ride his tractor, and take his PopPop naps. Most of all, he loved to just spend time with his loving wife in the home they shared together. His brave and positive battle with cancer will be remembered by all who knew him and will continue to be an inspiration to all going forward.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in memory of William Wert to the Satish & Rupal Foundation; mailed to 20 Expedition Trail, Suite 101, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
