Rodney P. Ranck

Rodney P. Ranck, beloved husband, Dad, Pap and Grand Pap, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.  He was the son of Allen P. Ranck and Margaret (Renshaw) Ranck and was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Campney of Bowmansville, Canada.  He is survived by his wife Lucy (Foor), son Rodney, Jr. and wife Heather (Grubbs) of Lancaster, PA, Daughter, Lisa Jo of Belgrade, Montana.  2 grandchildren;  Tori Keefer (Heath) of Lancaster, PA and Josh also of Lancaster, PA and 1 great grandchild, Radley.

Born in Coatesville, PA in 1943, he graduated from Scott High School being active in ROTC and Meistersingers.  He attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

He retired from Lukens Steel Company as a first class machinist after 34 years.  Rod and Lucy enjoyed their first 20 years of retirement in Santee, South Carolina before returning to Pennsylvania.  He was part of Chuck Colson prison ministry serving with Rev. Jack Crans and later became part of Kairos prison ministry in South Carolina.
Rodney was a life time member of Washington Hose Fire Company and enjoyed  reading, hunting, fishing, woodworking, renewing antiques and singing in his church’s choir.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of life service at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA  17601 on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 am.  The family will greet friends and relatives at 10:00 AM, followed by lunch immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Rodney’s memory to Global Partners of Calvary Church or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
