Vivian Vernell Golden

Vivian Vernell Golden, age 76, of Baltimore, Maryland transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior on January 4, 2022 at Hamilton Arms Center, Lancaster, PA. Vivian was the loving wife of James Edward Golden, Sr., with whom she would have shared 58 years of marriage this coming February.
She was the daughter of the late Walter Leon House, Sr. and Grace House (Capers). Vivian was a doting wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the epitome of a classy lady. She enjoyed shopping at Macys, wearing fine clothing and accessories, going out to breakfast, going to the beauty salon, and watching westerns and The Andy Griffith Show.
She was a member of Christ Spiritual Temple of Faith where her son, James Edward Golden, Jr. was her pastor. She loved her church family! She was a dedicated church mother and she was affectionately called, “Mother Golden.” In her latter days she held on to her faith and NEVER stopped praying and singing songs unto the Lord. She especially enjoyed her time spent with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, James Edward Golden, Sr., she is survived by her two daughters, Chevelle Golden of Baltimore, MD, and Vernell Yvette Golden-Brooks of York, PA (Terrence Brooks); two sons, James Edward Golden, Jr. of Lancaster, PA (Dionne Golden) and Joseph Aundre Golden of Catonsville, Maryland; three grandchildren, Maya Lynn Brooks, Chase Lamar Brooks, and Carter Michael Brooks of York, PA. Also surviving is one sister, Patricia Peterson of Huntsville, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Leon House, Sr. and Grace House; sisters, Janelle Edwards, Garna Mae House; two brothers, Walter Leon House, Jr. and James House, and her son, Christopher Antwan Golden.
Due to COVID19, a memorial service will take place at the discretion of the family at a later date.
