I got to know Butch quite well. I worked at the VA where he would come for treatment and we also stayed in the same neighborhood in Largo. He would talk lovingly about his children, and how he had to get back home, I use to tell him, “Lifes short Butch, better get a move on it.”, he would agree. Butch loved to read, he could finish a book in a day. Butch was a trustworthy, ,honorable person. He wasn’t one to look for trouble, but wouldn’t run from it either. I seen that Irish temper flare.up a few times. I moved away, and back in the old neighborhood today, learned that he passed. My condolences to his family, he was truly a good man,and will be missed by those who’s life he touched. I’m sorry for our loss.
